making a stamp for my physical books
This is so stupid
It's a mushroom with a brain in place of the cap
I've been wanting to make a linocut stamp to mark all my physical books. Now I gotta print this out and see if I can do it.
Inspired by the cute stamps I got for each book that I bought at the Henry Miller Memorial Library in Big Sur. I only have terrible pictures from that day.

I got Thus Spoke Zarathrustra (Nietzsche) and Down with Colonialism (HCM). The book seller asked if I'd read Nietzche before. I brain farted and said maybe. I (tried) to insinuate that even if it's hard I'll try to figure it out. I was fresh off completing Gravity's Rainbow so I was sure that I can do it. A father overheard me and said he'd never met anyone in the wild that finished the book.
I guess I haven't either. But there's some dedicated reddit and discord communities for Pynchon. It seems like the right thing to do to fully understand the message. I really do like to read at my own pace though. Discussion has never been my strong suit. That's why I struggle so hard to articulate my thoughts.
Anyways, the book seller told me to read companion novel On the Genealogy of Morals first.
I love the style. It's like peering into someone's brain, semi-stream-of-conscious but with eloquent language. I find myself having to look up words often! One thing I resonate with the most is the critique of the weak and powerless. That's why I'm trying to challenge myself to grow. But it is interesting to think about why that is often synonymous with 'goodness' or 'morality.'
